Apple is inviting Australian journalists to attend WWDC suggesting something big will be unveiled at the event, according to iTechReport. This follows an earlier report that Apple iPhone PR was reaching out to British journalists to persuade them to attend as well.
Australian technology journalist Charlie Brown tweeted earlier this morning that hed received an invite to the event from Apple, saying " think something big will be announced on June 6th in San Fran, by #Apple. I have just been invited to attend the event."
It unclear what exactly Apple will be announcing at WWDC. It's widely expected that Apple will unveil iOS 5; however, other announcements for a new cloud service, Mac OS X Lion, new iPhone hardware, or even a new device have been rumored.
Interestingly, the tweet from Charlie Brown has since disappeared.
