Corporate Smalltalk Consulting has announced PDF 1.7 for iOS, an update to their universal document viewer app that allows the user to view both oversize and large multi-page PDF documents easily. The app employs proprietary LargeViewer technology to convert and pre-render large documents for smooth scrolling and zooming. In addition to managing PDF files of thousands of pages, PDF 1.7 can easily handle page sizes as large as 48 x 42 inches. The app includes Dropbox download only connectivity, and can open PDFs found in Mail or Safari, or transferred from iTunes. Developed specifically to prevent slow-downs and crashes when viewing large PDF files on an iOS device, it has the fastest rendering engine available giving subsecond rendering where normal PDF viewers take as long as 3 seconds to render a complex page.

Feature Highlights:
* Accelerated, multi-page PDF file reading
* Pre-rendering allows smooth scrolling and display
* Dropbox file download compatibility
* Responsive sub-second scrolling and zooming through large documents

Operation of PDF is simple on all iOS devices, irrespective of screen size or built-in memory. The user may open standard, single-page PDF documents automatically. Multi-page and oversize documents require the user to tap the Pre-Render button, wait for the screen to turn green, and then touch the Viewer button. Pre-rendering times vary according to the size of the document and the iOS device, but the process need be done only once. Having been pre-rendered, the document is permanently stored in its pre-rendered form. With oversize documents up to 48 x 42 inches, there is continuous, smooth scrolling with no tiling effects.

A companion product LargeViewer Helper for IOS PreRendering is an OS-X app that allows you to prerender many PDF documents that because of proprietary graphics technology are unreadable on an iOS device, yet are readable on OS-X. Once pre-rendered those documents can be transfer to your ISO device for further reading and reference via our PDF product.

"PDF documents have become ubiquitous in business, manufacturing, and consumer life" stated Corporate Smalltalk Consulting President, John McIntosh. "Now, with PDF 1.7, owners of iOS devices can smoothly display PDF documents of any size; scroll horizontally or vertically, and zoom in and out with no waiting for drawing to occur, and with our companion OS-X product have the ability to view documents that in the past were un-viewable on IOS."
