Google has unveiled its new cloud music locker called 'Music Beta by Google'.

The service will store all your music files in the cloud. Using a music manager program for both Windows and Mac you can upload your songs to the new service. The music manager program lets you select your entire iTunes library for upload and will keep your playlists and meta data intact.

Music Beta also offers a full featured media manager on the web. The media manager lets you create playlists that are automatically available across all devices. You can also build a playlist that is automatically generated based on any song you like. This feature is called 'Instant Mix'.

Google demonstrated applications for Android phones and tablets. Recently played music is automatically cached on the device and you can select specific albums, playlists and artists you'd like to make available offline.

Music Beta is being rolled out starting today. While in beta the service is free and will let you upload up to 20,000 songs. Invites are being sent to select U.S. users first. You can request an invite at the link below...
