Quick And Easy Self Defense Training

Gentlemen's Mixed Martial Arts Wear has released of Self-Defense 101 v1.0 for iOS. GMMAW created this application as an easy and effective way for women, of all ages, to learn quick and easy self defense moves to protect them against an attack.

According to National Data provided by the website, Violence Against Women; Information for Health Care Providers:
* One in three women have been beaten, coerced into sex, or otherwise abused sometime in her life.
* One in six women has been the victim of rape or an attempted rape.
* Every nine seconds a woman is beaten in the United States.
* Women between the ages of 20-34 endure the highest rate of domestic violence.
* Sexual assaults usually occur early in life. Fifty four percent of rapes occur before the age of 18 and twenty two percent occur before the age of 12.

This is the perfect application for those with no self defense training to learn a quick, easy, and effective way to protect them against an attack. Being able to quickly protect yourself can mean the difference between being able to get away or becoming a victim. These moves are easy to learn by girls and women of all ages. GMMAW's purpose for creating this application is to help teach women how to protect themselves in hopes of decreasing the statistics of violent crimes against women.

The instructor in the application is Bob Gordon, a seventh degree black belt in the martial arts Tang Soo Do. The assistants in the video are David Adinarayan, a third degree black belt, and Kara Zuchlewski.
