Pioneer has announced its first Airplay enabled home theater receiver, the VSX-1021-K.
One of the most exciting new features of the VSX-1021-K is AirPlay. With AirPlay you can stream music from iTunes to the VSX-1021-K and play it through your home theater system. Simply connect the receiver to your home network via Ethernet or Pioneer's optional wireless adapter (AS-WL300) and it instantly becomes the hub for playback of your iTunes music from your connected Apple device or networked computer.
You can even use the receiver to view metadata including song title, artist as well as album art on a connected display. Download Apple's free "Remote" application and use your Apple device as a remote control. With AirPlay, theres really no reason why your iTunes music has to be restricted to your computer!
You can preorder the new receiver from Amazon for $549.
