LaCie's USB 3.0 drivers for Mac OS X have been hacked to remove their linkage to LaCie's hard drives, according to HardMac.
Some Hackers decided to publish on the web a version without this linkage, thing that we had decided not to do in spite of the trivial protection. It is necessary to keep with the spirit that the development of a driver is not a free thing, far from it and it represents, especially in this case, a commercial risk.
Apple has yet to support USB 3.0 or release official drivers for its use.
