Apple Discontinues the Xserve

Apple has discontinued the Xserve, their rackmounted line of computers.

The Xserve product page indicates it will be only be available until January 31, 2011. After which Apple is recommending the transition to a Mac Mini or Mac Pro running Mac OS X Server.

• Apple will not be developing a future version of Xserve
• Orders for Xserve will be accepted through January 31, 2011
• Apple will honor all Xserve warranties and extended support programs
