Hutchison Telecommunications International Ltd. said Thursday it signed an agreement with Apple Inc. to offer the popular iPhone in Hong Kong and Macau later this year. Terms of the deal were not released.
Hutchinson operates 3G networks in Hong Kong and Macau under the 3 brand. They had 2.5 million total customers and about 1.15 million 3G customers in Hong Kong as of the end of March.
Apple is expected to announce the 3G iPhone during the upcoming WWDC08.
