Real Time, Multi-Player Draw Word Game

Orz Games has introduced Doodle Guess Live 1.1 for iOS, their real time, multiplayer game where the object is to draw a picture on a page which allows the other player(s) to correctly guess a predetermined word. Players may initiate games via email, through push notification, by contacting Facebook friends, or on the Orz Games dedicated real-time chat server. Players score points by correctly guessing the selected word or having others correctly guess it, and lose points during rounds where the word cannot be guessed. The rules permit drawings of any kind, except numbers or letters.

On launch, the splash screen displays the game's logo and the tag line "You draw, I guess." Players must log in with their email and password to begin a game. The user is then connected to the Game Server where they may enter a game room already created, or open one themselves. Once two or more players have established contact in the game room using the Doodle Guess Live real-time chat server, play begins.

Gameplay takes place in the landscape orientation, and the playspace is a full screen red clipboard, holding a single sheet of paper torn from a spiral notebook. Six icons across the bottom access the following functions: Pencil Color Chooser, Orz Games Store, Current Chats, New Round, Eraser Tool, and the Pencil Tool. A numerical timer on the left counts down the time remaining in the current round. The player's nickname and optional photo is displayed in the top left, and a text input window is on top for entry of the chosen word. Players can enhance photos using different color pencils.
