Concern Wormwood has announced the release and immediate availability of "Mazespace of the Vor," their debut app for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Available as a free download, Mazespace of the Vor is a casual puzzle game with a "space maze" theme. It comes with an initial "recruitment" game mode designed to introduce the central game mechanic to new players, as well as with In App purchase of additional game modes available.
The app is designed for all currently shipping iOS devices, supporting iOS 3.1 or later. On the iPhone & iPod touch, the gameplay will feature smaller levels with more of an action feel. Such game play is designed for quick five minute games, or for "round robin" contests with other players. On the iPad, the app will feature larger levels with more of a puzzle slant. This is intended for longer play sessions of about ten or fifteen minutes, for players more demanding of a challenge.
"Mazespace of the Vor" also has features for the recently released iPhone 4: full support for the Retina Display, and compatibility with Fast App Switching (by automatically pausing the game). The app is being released as an "Universal" iOS App, using the App Store "non-consumable" purchase model; this allows players to make a single purchase to cover all the devices the user might own.
