Apple is preparing a new Apple Card sign-up promotion that could effectively make the AirPods Pro 3 free for eligible customers.
The incentive could launch at Apple retail locations in the United States as early as next week. According to Mark Gurman, customers who open a new Apple Card account and use it to purchase the earbuds will receive $249 in Daily Cash. Since the AirPods Pro 3 retail for $249, the cash back would effectively offset the full purchase price.
Apple introduced the third-generation AirPods Pro last fall. The updated earbuds feature a slightly smaller design, upgraded active noise cancellation, and a built-in heart rate sensor for fitness tracking. They also support Live Translation powered by Apple Intelligence.
The promotion comes as Apple prepares to transition the Apple Card to a new banking partner. The company recently confirmed that Chase will replace Goldman Sachs as the card issuer in a migration process expected to take about two years. Apple has said customers can continue applying for the card and earning rewards normally during the transition.
While the upcoming offer would cover the full retail price, customers who already have an Apple Card or prefer to shop elsewhere can still find discounts. The earbuds are currently available for $229 on Amazon. You can also monitor ongoing sales and historical pricing data using the iClarified AirPods Pro 3 Price Tracker.
