Apple has officially scheduled its 2026 Worldwide Developers Conference, bringing developers together for a week focused on Apple's latest software and technologies.

Apple Sets WWDC26 for June 8-12, With Major AI Updates Expected

WWDC26 will run from June 8 through June 12. The event remains primarily an online experience, with free access available through the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube channel. Apple will also host a special in-person gathering at Apple Park on June 8.

The week begins with the keynote and Platforms State of the Union on Monday, June 8. Apple typically uses these presentations to preview its next-generation operating systems. This year's conference will spotlight updates across Apple platforms, including advancements in artificial intelligence, along with new tools, frameworks, and features for developers.

Developers interested in attending the live kickoff in Cupertino can submit a request through the Apple Developer website. Due to limited capacity, attendees are selected at random. Those chosen will watch the keynote on campus, meet with Apple engineers and designers, and take part in special labs and activities.

For developers participating remotely, Apple will offer more than 100 technical sessions, along with group labs and one-on-one appointments. These sessions provide opportunities to explore new technologies and get guidance directly from Apple teams.

Susan Prescott, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, said the event gives the global developer community a chance to come together for a week focused on innovation and collaboration.

The announcement also includes an update for the Swift Student Challenge. Apple says winners will be notified on Thursday, March 26. Standard winners can apply to attend the June 8 Apple Park event, while 50 Distinguished Winners will be invited to Cupertino for a three-day experience.

Apple says additional details about sessions and scheduling will be shared closer to the event.
