Treebune srl has announced the immediate availability of its Pushme.to messenger, now capable of connecting the iPhone app with any browser for a real-time messages or images exchange, without mandatory registration. Pushme.to is an iPhone/iPod touch application, now free for a limited time.
In the words of E.Shimalsky, Treebune's CEO: We're not fighting the IM war, we're creating a service that is as easy as SMS and can be used by virtually anyone with a browser. "SMS in the cloud, and for free" is waht we call it ;) No registration is required for sending you instant messages from the web. Plus, we're a straightforward iPhone-to-iPhone messenger too.
Our future? We will be rolling out a mobile version of the site (Android, Nokia and others) so that your friends can start a free instant conversation with you from any smartphone. The center of this instant messaging will still be the iPhone, and your browser.
Pushme.to advantages over SMS and other IMs: * Real-time conversation both on iPhone and in any browser * No charges per message, international or not * Instant images send and receive both the web or iPhone/iPod touch * All messages are stored in the cloud and accessible via browser * The sender is not required to register or own an iPhone * Ease of use.
The 2.0 change log: * Two-way messaging with a web browser * Free registration for web (non iPhone) users * Completely redesigned, messages organized per conversation * Ability to link Pushme.to usernames to iPhone contacts * Avatars support both on the web, and from iPhone contacts (automatically uploaded to the web when linked from iPhone)
