Palm has put itself up for sale and is seeking bids for the company as early as this week, according to a Bloomberg report.
The company is working with Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Frank Quattrones Qatalyst Partners to find a buyer, said the people, who declined to be identified because the sale isnt public. Taiwans HTC Corp. and Chinas Lenovo Group Ltd. have looked at the company and may make offers, said the people.
Dell also reportedly looked at the company but decided against an offer.

I say .. One of the Iphone Dev. Teams or maybe even Geohot should buy it .. it would be VERY interesting to have the same software on another phone... with better specs and UI... and have their slogan "what it should be"
You can't be serious about that? Th iPhone dev team is made up of mainly students who are studying some form of computing. Many of them find it hard to afford the latest iPhone themselves, nevermind the hundreds of millions plus business experience required for something like that.
Yea, how could an individual afford to buy a multimillion dollar company??
according to Wikipeida, the last Fiscal Year assets of Palmn were 649 Million. I would expect asking price to be at least close.
