We already showed you an iconcomparison of iOS 6 and iOS 7, but now developer Mpow has put together a comparison of the different UI elements in the operating systems.
Taking a look at the comparisons, you can really see how Apple stripped away a lot of the textures, gradients and gloss from iOS in favor of a more "flat" interface.
Overall the subtle outlines and "thin" font makes it difficult to pick out what you need/want to do, especially at a glance in bright light. Overall more contrast and delineation would allow a faster more accurate interaction.
Further, eliminating metaphors in the "look" of an app built for a particular market segment can be problematic. It is well-known that these market segments will only shift away from the familiar way of doing things if the app is designed around the professional user's tried and true methods. Many times these UI/UX approaches are counter intuitive causing the user to get frustrated both in the amount of time to learn how to use it while also trying to adapt to an unfamiliar.
The people who made the previous UI probably had a degree and obviously a good job but these new designs could have been created in MS Paint while the previous designs required nothing less than Photoshop or something at that level. I'm sure these guys love having less work to do because they're certainly not concerned about being proud of their products.
I'm currently running the new ios beta, I like it. Still has glitches here and there, some overaly issues and battery drains pretty fast, but its a beta
i tried iOS 7 on my iphone and found it disgusting ,the Colors are too bright ,and the text is very simple that it makes you feel it is a 2002 phone!!!
iOS 7 as it is given to developers, has many bugs, like you can't redial most recent received or dialled call because it hides under top navigation bar. Scrolling of contacts is confusing. Slow response makes multiple photo delete in image roll.
Yes, you are right. Incredible, I have to sell my iphone quickly before final release. Otherwise, everyone will say: You have a mix of shitdroid and windows ui. That's sething I really don't want
