Check out these new concept images of a low costpolycarbonate iPhone in several colors and screen sizes.
The mockups were created by Martin Hajek for iCulture.nl in an attempt to capture what a budget iPhone might look like. They made two versions: a 4-inch iPhone (red) and a 4,5-inch iPhone (blue). Both are made out of polycarbonate and would be available in several colors, just like the latest iPod touch.
Apple has been predicted to be releasing the phone in both June and August.
A 4.5-4.6 inch IPhone with the style of the iPhone 5 would be a killer phone. An edge to edge screen would be nice too. Apple would WOW customers and the industry if they strayed from their normal cycle and went from the 5 to a iphone 6 instead of the 5S. Throw us a curve ball this year apple. Fingers crossed!!! Not that they aren't already, but sales would skyrocket and go through the roof if they introduced the iPhone 6 with a bigger and wider screen this year. Even if it still looked like a 5.
Like the other comments have already mentioned, there is no way Apple will sacrifice using premimum materials in order to obtain another segment of the market. There are already plenty of other "cheap" devices that low-spending consumers will gravitate to. Those who want an "iPhone" for iOS already have great options by purchasing a iPhone 4 or 4s at reduced cost compared to the iPhone 5.
It is simple deduction, Apple has never moved backwards in device manufacturing when it comes to materials used in any of their products besides the Apple TV, which Apple always defined as a "hobby" device.
i dont think so apple will make this type of cheap phone because apple brand status is everything, no competition need for apple because apple is the apple and iphone is the iphone.
