Setteb.it has posted a chart comparing the price of the iPhone 5 in various countries. Today, the iPhone 5 launched in 22 additional countries.
According to the chart, Italians need to pay the most for the device; whereas, Americans pay the least. Prices are in euros and on unsubsidized models after tax. €1 is equal to $1.2922 USD.
That is not an Italian law, it's an european directive and it's valid everywhere in EU. Every vendor must offer two years of warranty. Apple, instead, is keep selling the warantee extention for the 2nd year as an optional.
The rule is: Producer must offer the guarantee for the 1st year, the vendor can for the 1st and must for the 2nd year. If you buy something in an apple store or on the apple online store, apple is vendor and producer at the same time so MUST offer 2 years warranty FOR FREE.
this is not true prices in this chart, because in Lithuania, iPhone 5 - 16gb price is 782euro not 664...it seems that we have the most expensive iphone 5 on the market in Europe.:/ 664euro was a year ago for the 4s.
