The iClarified app for iPhone and iPod touch has been completely redesigned and is now available to download from the App Store.
The app features a new simple to use and easy to read interface, helping you stay up to date with everything Apple. The update has been a long time coming and we appreciate your patience. It now matches the look of our HTML5 web app which is available here for those of you who don't have an iPhone or iPod touch.
Last week the iClarified Menu Bar App was updated with support for the Retina Display MacBook Pro. Although, the update isn't in the Mac App Store yet, it should be soon.
FEATURES: ● Read the Most Recent/Trending Apple News ● Get Help From Detailed Apple Tutorials ● Save News/Tutorials for Offline Reading ● Get Updates Via Push Notification ● Comment on Your Favorite Articles ● Search for Topics of Interest ● Share Via Email, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, and Facebook ● Pull Down to Refresh Article List ● Fully Supports iOS Multitasking ● Automatically Loads New Articles When Opened ● Retina Display Support
We have some other major updates coming for you in the near future. In the meanwhile you can submit any feature requests or bug reports at https://www.iClarified.com/appsupport. Don't forget to thank EvilPenguin for his development work.
Note*: Due to changes necessary for this new version, the update will reset any articles you've saved for offline reading. Saved articles will be carried forward for any updates that follow.
You can download iClarified from the App Store for free at the link below...
"Trending / most recent" dropdown looses its state when the app is terminated and opened again. Always have to switch back. It also opens very slow with an unnecessary animation. Can't make a new line when adding a comment, ("Return") does not work. Where can I configure to just get push notifications for top stories or only certain categories? Thanks, Chris
Overall It's cleaner. It feels more like an HTML 5 app though then an iPhone app. But so far has been performing like an iPhone app. I think HTML 5 apps typically run like shit. Top nav drop down on scale of 1-10 I would say is a 2. The one added function I was hoping for was pinch/zoom on article images. Sometimes there's small text that can't be read on the images. Adding a comment works better, no more text under the keyboard that you can't read as you type anymore. Adding a comment though has caused a crash just like the old app use to do.
Could you please contact us with a crash log. If this is an issue it will be fixed asap. support@iclarified.com
Also, I may be able to offer up larger images with a server side tweak. Stay tuned...
I had them both and I liked the older one better This update took that away out of the two I always used the older never liked that new one sorry iclarified
What I don't like about the new is >The highlighted part is way to big and seems as soon as it's highlighted it feels like it's going to the link, without clicking, The old app was click letters and you go to the link
