Alongside its new Galaxy S III smartphone, Samsung today unveiled its Siri clone called 'S Voice'.
S Voice allows you to search for information but also offers other useful commands. For example, S Voice can snooze your alarm, play your favorite songs, turn up or down the volume, send texts and emails, organize schedules, or automatically launch the camera and capture a photo.
It appears to look and work much like Siri on the iPhone 4S.

Its called the spike lee effect. Someone brings something out and it's bund to get copied. As mentioned above none of it was created by apple but they were the first ones that implemented.
I think the point is not that apple invented all these things. Yes they bought Siri from a third party and yes they didn't invent touch screens. The whole thing it that they take the chance first before any other company does and then the rest of them follow in and also bring the same idea out, after the waters have been tested. All I say is why don't they come out with an original idea, something that apple does not have or that looks like it. I mean right down to the commercials. Please be original.
All that I know is what Samsung did was no where near being significant. They claim to have all these kick ass features and grab all the credits for it. But 1 thing, even if it's a kickass feature d credits go back to google who developed android. All cell phones features would come from d operating system. All samsung did was put all d hardware parts together and install android, n boom here is d best phone? No way! That's like me and so many out there who can put computer parts together n simply install windows to operate it. That's so easy and can't be consider innovative. like I said in many previous posts, if Samsung can develop its own os and get that os to be as popular as the ios and android, then yes I'll recognize samsung as equal to that of apple.
Click on the youtube icon........ open the page...... serch for the dislike button.......push that .....and then you can relax ...........i hope it helps
Whatever ppl says; macbook air design=copied, iPhone and its OS=copied, iPad and its design=copied..
Apple still and will be the first one to set the standards and first to invent nice solid product. Others can only follow.
i am using an ip4s and this is not a clone. android had voice commands way before ios did. so to say s voice is a siri clone is misleading. shame on you!
Lol keep on grabbing apple not allowing older iPhones to use Siri. How bout Samsung. Galaxy s2 can't even use android 4.0. At least iPhone 3GS can use iOS 5.1 and d ability to further upgrade to any future iOS. Now wut?
you need to do your homework I've got a galaxy s2 and its running android 4.03 perfectly and it's still runs circles around your iPhone , and before you say it I've got a 4s and an ipad and a 3gs and setting siri aside I've not really seen any major advancements in apple products at all , a little bit here and there and another 600 smackers please . The fact you tell others to jailbreak there phones to get the best from them tells me all i need to know apple are not making the greatest products int he world and are certainly not listening to its customers at all.
Hahah no then u need to do ur own hw. The Samsung galaxy s2 cannot easily upgrade to android 4.0 until Samsung obtain all d permissions n shit. N when u upgrade it's not even that easy compared to upgrading an iOS device. Then how about the galaxy s1. Don't tell me u can officially upgrade it to 4.0 as well.
Also, to address the argument relating best product or most innovative, the #1 innovation of the modern smart phone that distinct itself from previous phones is the AppStore. Now tell me the AppStore is not an original apple's idea. Android pretty much used apple idea of d AppStore to create its droid market crap. Even though android has a higher total amount of users compared to ops devices, d total amount of apps on d AppStore is more than that of d android market. How do u claim android to be better when it has lesser apps but more users?

That's why US Patent law needs to be completely redesigned. This looks like an exact copy of Siri, right down to the exact same screen design. This is surely heading to 5+ years of expensive lawsuits, which won't help advance the market at all. We need meaningful patent laws the courts can use, rather than a "first to claim something that's obvious to everyone" approach.
You are spot on, how can a company (not just Apple) be allowed to patent thoughts that are so low level i.e using a finger to swipe accross a screen to perform an action. It is too basic and stifles other uses
