Semitether Jailbreak Gets Updated to Solve Early Issues

Semitether Jailbreak Gets Updated to Solve Early Issues

BigBoss has updated his Semitether Jailbreak package to solve some of the issues experienced by beta testers.

A semi-tethered jailbreak is an interim solution which solves the problem of being unable to reboot with a tethered jailbreak. The semi tethered jailbreak by BigBoss will allow you to reboot on the road, but with limited functionality. It is enough that you are no longer stranded, and you can use your phone, text, and many other features. This is just until you get home and can use redsn0w again to "just boot tethered". Once you do that, you're back to fully functional state.

What's New:
● Reworked the app sync conflicts
● Reworked daemon loading order to hopefully solve 2 issues.
1) Reboot after 2 mins on some devices
2) app sync with itunes issue on some devices.

Note: This version now takes 60-90 seconds after reboot and it will respring again then your device should be usable.

You can find instructions on how to install the Semitether here.

This is actually booting in Safe mode, with no themes, no cracked apps etc. I hope that untether will be out soon.

Did not work for my iPad1 with 5.0. Stuck at Apple symbol. Have tried letting it sit on its own for 15 minutes 3 times, and tried to "Just Boot" with RedSnow... its stuck. WTF did you guys do to my ipad now? :-(

Nevermind... I just kept trying "Just Boot" a few more times, and on the 4th time, it worked.. pineapple and booted back in. All is forgiven, lol.

Tim, Tim, Tim... those "guys" didn't do anything to your iPad - you did. they didn't come round to your house, hold a gun to your head and say "Use our jailbreak semi-tether tool or die!", now, did they? mmm? as always - these guys do their work, and we choose to use it on our own devices or not - at our own risk. srsly, tho - glad you got it working again. :-)

the beauty of this semitether and this tethered JB is that you can restore and redo the JB and delete the semitether. i've restored and jailbroken 4x's on my iP4 since last night as trial and error. i'm not used to a tethered JB so i'm just going thru to make sure my phone is safe. semitether made my phone restart randomly. just removed it, restored, then did the JB.
