The video comparison found that the iPhone 4S speaker offered an increase of 6dB compared to the previous generation device. It's thought that Apple may have improved the speaker for use with Siri, its new voice powered personal assistant.

I would want that apple bring out stereo on iPhone... is it that much of a design changer? and 4.0" screen would be the sweet spot with new internal chips to manage power, that would be interesting...

Bah! you could have loaded different youtube videos saved at different output levels.!! I bet its the exact same speaker! why didn't they mention that at the 4S presentation?

I love the new fanboy commandment "3.5 inches is the perfect fit for your thumb..."! Lmfao, I swear Apple can say anything and it becomes Biblical with some of you... Haha. So a louder speaker is one of the 200 plus features...

Hey fanboy... I have the 4. I just laugh at every time some odd new feature pops up it becomes the battle royale' in the websites. Why did I get an iPhone? Natural progress from Mac to iPhone on up to iPhone 4

As outlined in a previous article. The iPhone's screen size was specifically chosen to accommodate use with one hand only should one desire that. Compare to the larger Galaxy that does indeed require the use of two hands where as the iPhone does not. So in over all usefulness and foresight. The iPhone still wins

I use the iPhone since it came out - 2G, 3G, 3GS and now the iPhone 4. I played with my friends Samsung S2 and I could hold and use it easyly with one hand and reach each part of the 4.3" screen - and I have really small hands! So I think that the "test" between 4,3" and 3,5" is useless....... 3,5" is just too small, 4,3" is a bit too large for a phone - 4.0" would be perfect for an iPhone (5).

I did notice this! Much louder and it doesn't blow out as easily. It's mainly for Siri so u could hear it better.

I really hope you don't get your wish. The iPhone is already pretty big. Any bigger and you start to sacrifice pocketability. A bigger display would also make using it one handed more difficult. If you want a bigger screen get a different phone or a tablet.

They can make the iphone's screen bigger by removing the Home button and making most of the black area part of the lcd

Thanks, I was wondering when apple would put out a louder speaker! im sure everyone cups their hand around the end of the phone to be able to hear things better on their older phones.
