T-Mobile USA Starts Selling Micro-SIM Card for iPhone

T-Mobile USA has started selling a Micro-SIM Card in what may be a sign that Apple's next iPhone will support the network as rumored. The SIM card will also work with the iPhone 4 and iPad.

Already have a GSM phone or iPhone that you need to activate-or have an unlocked GSM phone you want to use on the T-Mobile network? Just get a Micro SIM card and choose a plan. Slip the ready-to-use Micro SIM Card into your phone and you're ready to go.

Recently Piper Jaffray analyst Chris Larsen reported that the next iPhone will support the T-Mobile network.


"While we remain uncertain regarding the next-generation iPhone's specs and features, we believe the most noteworthy change could be the device's ability to run on more networks, specifically Sprint and T-Mobile in the U.S,"

The Micro-SIM Card IS NOT on the T-Mumble US web site anywhere... Either logged in or not...

Anyone tried to figure out if Tmobile will unlock out-of-contract iPhones from other carriers if the user switch to its service?

So will this "hacktivate" an AT&T iPhone, so we do not have to wait for an unlock anymore?

No. You still need to have an unlocked iPhone right now.

The stores have also been carrying the Micro-SIM punchers. I went to a store where a tech traced and cut one out for me.

All new iPhones will be factory unlocked. Contracts have been blown. Apple will be at a loss restricting access to specific carriers.
