Apple Updates International App Store Pricing

As rumored, Apple has updated the pricing of applications in its App Store for to more closely match U.S. pricing.

MacRumors notes the following price changes for the lowest tier ($.99 US):

UK: £0.59 -> £0.69
Australia: AU$1.19 -> AU$0.99
Japan: 115 -> 85 Yen
Mexico: $10 -> $12
Switzerland: 1.10Fr -> 1.00Fr
Norway: 6.00Kr -> 7.00Kr



It's also rumored that Apple will adjust its international hardware pricing tomorrow to account for the lower U.S. dollar.

I'll not be buying Tomtom or Carcasonne any time soon then. Annoyingly, $1 is about 62p, but as I've seen pointed out elsewhere I think our 20% VAT accounts for the difference.

Come on apple 10p extra in UK ? While everyone else gets "discount" how you supposed to compete with fandroid with wonky prices like that.... Btw is lion released yet or what?

Lol, they didn't adjust the European prices? makes it still almost 15% cheaper to buy songs + games in the US Store :D
