Gevey has released an Ultra SIM which provides an unlock for the iPhone 4 without the need to manually dial 112.
This method of unlocking was detailed by Laforet in a recent blog post. Depending on your location, calling 112, even for a split second, could be illegal.
It appears that Gevey has managed to automate the process, making the unlock much easier for the end user. They have also reduced the amount of times 112 has to be dialed. "Once installed, no more 112. Restart the phone and get signal directly."
The Gevey Ultra will be available soon at a price of $28.00. You can see it demonstrated in the video below. Please make sure its use is legal in your country before purchase.

1. I want know if i turn off the iphone4 do i have the same problem (lock ) or will be unlock for ever
Answer: Unless your iphone is jailbroken and you have installed the FuriousMod app from Cydia, you will have to manually unlock the phone again using the 112 method.
2. The same applies if your battery dies.
i have a question, im having this problem.. i've been using gevey supreme also for almost a week. and since then, that's the only big problem i encountered. whenever i lose my signal, i have to reboot the same process again (dial 112, and etc...) to regain the signal.. Does the Gevey ultra resolves this issue? Thanks, waiting for your replies.. still thinking to shift to gevey ultra if this is resolved.
monchie-Gevey Supreme was good only up to a point i.e. losing reception, shutting off phone, etc. etc. Gevey Ultra replaced that chip and if you have compatable firmware and a jailbroken iphone (recomended) it is much easier.
For jailbroken phone you can download the FuriousMOD app which eliminates the need to dial 112 in order to unlock the phone.
The Gevey sim will not work on iOS5 even if you preserve the baseband. The manual 112 method does not work and neither does the FuriousMOD app. For some reason it is not compatable with iOS5. At this time there is no update available from the Cydia developer for the sim to work on iOS5.
At this point you are better off waiting for a fix and stick to pre-iOS5 firmware with unlockable baseband.
You got to be careful when you buy from eBay. Lots of fakes there. You can only guarantee that you're getting the legit thing if you get it from appleberry. Besides, from this article it seems that this thing is not even out yet.
