The Chronic Dev Team has commented on the status of the iPad 2 jailbreak and 4.3.x support in Greenpois0n. Here's what they had to say...
iPad 2 As I’m sure many people have heard, Josh (posixninja) has recently been quoted saying the iPad 2 jailbreak is coming in “weeks”, I know I have been very publicly abrasive and non-commital on giving any kind of timeframe or comment on this matter, but at the behest of Josh (in conjunction with his need for a swift kick to the ass for motivation) we’re ALL going to hold him to that!!! I’m not going to get into extensive detail about this, but what I will say one of the missing puzzle pieces may have reared its head and cast a glance in our direction… take from that what you will.
4.3.x support in greenpois0n In the past I have also said that 4.3.x support was on hold for greenpois0n to focus on iPad 2 jailbreak exclusively, our course has slightly changed (primary focus has never shifted from iPad 2 since it was released) it has now become possible to easily update and execute a workflow to enable RC6.2 (tentatively speaking… mmm #dirt) to be released “soon”…
We will of course keep you up to date with any developments.
i want dat shirt!!!..n yeah we need an unlock.. i had to go back to ATT n tell em ..ho i "found" my iphone after 8 months n i want to activate it..so im back w ATT
So let me get this straight. Chronic came out making [basically] the same statement that jailbreak for iPad 2 release is still unknown and it will take MORE time. Instead of telling all of us that it will take "weeks" for the JB to release, they tell us there's a missing puzzle piece. Wow. Great progress for the rest of us.
any idea when the unlock for IPhone4 firmware 03.10.1 will be released/ developed? situation is getting desperate now.. 6 months now, and no unlock..phone is useless now.
Just get a Gevey sim and put it in. I have had one for 2 months and it turned my useless iphone 4 back into the working jailbroken, unlocked iphone it was meant to be. Cost $60 but it was well worth it and it's worked perfectly ever since. I have had to reset it only a couple times (signal loss) since first put in and there were no problems at all. Or you can wait for another 6 months for an unlock that isn't in sight.
Why wait for an unlock where you can get AT&T .. you dont have to worry about any updates or updating your baseband..
The cost is almost the same maybe $20 who cares..
Id rather pay more to get an upgrade every year..
I'm all the way accross the atlantic right now. AT&T will do me no good.
@ TMack and Gevey turbo sim 12$: Where did you buy your Gevey Sim Card from? Can you get it off e-Bay? let me konw PLEASE!
Can you use the same card to unlock another phone? or do you need to have a separate Gevey sim for each individual phone? thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
