Apple has increased the power output of the USB ports in its new MacBook Pros which results in a much faster charge for the iPad, according to 9to5Mac.

The new MacBook Pro offers a combined 2100 mA of power; similar to what you'd get from an iPad wall charger.

The previous generation MacBook Pros only offer a combined 1000mA of power; taking far longer to charge the device.

Who charges their iPad through a computer anyway.. Just use the regular socket and it'll charge even faster..

I do all of the time. In fact I do it through the computer more often than through the AC outlet. It charges as it is syncing

It does not charge it as fast as my PC with 10 Watt USB 3.0

Your comparing a desktop to a laptop, come on now.

True. But I will also compare ANY MAC desktop to any of my built desktop PCs. There is not MAC nor brand name Windows PC that can touch a home built PC in performance and quality

"You know what PC stands for? Piece of CRAP!" it's funny beacause it's true..!

OK... I see you still did not dispute that fact that a good quality BUILT PC is better than any MAC, except to say it sucks (even though you have no evidence). We all have our own preferences, but I challenge you to find any MAC that is better than a high quality home built PC

They crash and burn? How many home built PCs have you dealt with? I have built all of my own, many are over 10 years old and still running strong. Not a single one has ever crashed or burned. Another advantage is I can always upgrade most of them. Even with that, it is still a fraction of the price of a MAC

No... I am here to get jailbreak info mostly for my iPhone and iPad. You see, unlike most here, I am not a fanboy or any product. I get the best possible products available, regardless of brand. As of now, the iPad is the best tablet, the iPhone is the best phone on ATT (I have ATT due to a grandfathered package that I do not want to get rid of), and a home built computer with good quality parts makes for the best desktop.

random (2011-03-31 10:44:22) Why is it that you need multiple PCs? Did you know that one Mac can do simply what all of your PCs can do combined? Seems to me by the time you had to rebuild and upgrade you've spent more on your "custom" built PC than what it would've cost to buy just ONE MacPro. Who's the idiot now? Oh ALSO you say you're not a fanboy but use the iPad AND iPhone?! who are you kidding!! get the samsung galaxy and whatever windows mobile phone there is out there! don't come here, insult Mac and they're milestones and THEN try to find ways to jailbreak your APPLE devices. ------------------------------ I don't NEED multiple PCs. I build them for fun and for different uses. A couple in my classroom, one as a server, and one as my main desktop. Two were built over 10 years ago. The fact that remains, which nobody has yet to dispute, no MAC of any sort can even come close to doing what a decent home built PC can do. No brand name PC can do what a home built PC can do. I am not kidding anyone. I have stated facts which nobody can dispute: 1. I own an iPhone and iPad, both jailbroken running iOS 4.2.1 (waiting for the untethered release for iOS 4.3.1 JB). 2. The iPhone is the BEST smart phone with ATT 3. One can build a PC for much less than the price of a MAC that is better than any MAC or Windows based name brand PC 4. There are Windows based laptops and some good brands (ex. ASUS, Toshiba) that preform better, and do more than the MAC Book Pro. They too are able to charge an iPad and are even able contain a BR player (unlike MAC laptops) Dispute any of the four facts I mentioned
