Apple to Buy $7.8 Billion Worth of Components From Samsung

Apple will reportedly plans to buy $7.8 billion worth of components from Samsung this year, according to the Korea Economic Daily.

The WSJ reports that "the paper also said that Samsung will supply Apple with liquid crystal displays, mobile application processors and NAND flash memory chips used for the U.S. company's iPhones and iPads."

The deal will make Apple Samsung's largest customer.

Hmm, at a 60% markup (64 - actually, but we'll keep the math easy) (over materials) it seems that they should be about a 20.0 B year for Apple. Sounds a little better than average, but maybe there're going to be honest with their quarterly estimates this year.... hah.
