After a painfully long wait, the iControlPad BT gaming accessory for the iPhone is finally available to order.

The iControlPad uses Bluetooth to communicate with your mobile phone, so it can basically be used with any modern Smartphone - or even your PC! It offers various different Bluetooth protocols, including standard HID. This is to ensure that you can use the iControlPad with current and future Smartphone generations.

And if you ever buy a new phone: No need to throw your iControlPad away, just get a new set of clamps and that's it!

Current side clamps support:

I think that Apple needs to build a controller device and allow developers to build it into their apps. That way you could play games by either having the physical controller, or by using the touchscreen. This would get all the people that want a controller for handheld gaming instead of a touchscreen to consider the iPhone or iPod Touch, it would be a win for Apple.

If so then I'd probably use the controller at home and the touch on the go, would be awesome though!

Yeah, but does any game support this? How is it going to work with FPS games where you have to touch to shoot? Nice in theory!

Sure would make some games even more fun to play on a touch device :)

If anyone buys this please let us all know how it works. Also, are they only making a limited number of these? Or will they produce more once the initial release is sold out?
