David Pogue writing for the New York Times may have let it slip that Apple plans to release iOS 4.3 on February 13th, 9to5Mac observed.
The single new feature in Verizon’s iPhone is Personal Hotspot, where the iPhone becomes a Wi-Fi base station. Up to five laptops, iPod Touches or other gadgets can get online, using the phone as a glorified Internet antenna. That’s incredibly convenient. Many other app phones have it — AT&T’s iPhone gets it on Feb. 13 — but Apple’s execution is especially nice. For example, the hot spot shuts itself off 90 seconds after the last laptop disconnects. That’s hugely important, because these personal hot spot features are merciless battery drains.
The date has since been removed and changed to "soon". Although February 13th is a Sunday, its the same day AT&T is increasing its tethering data plan by 2GB.
Well hopefully they release it soon and a jailbreak shortly after as I have to take my phone back as there's a problem with the camera and I know the first thing they will say is "please upgrade it to the latest iOS"
I agree - I have however donated to the DEV TEAM but NEVER AGAIN !!!! too mny promises and cant deliver... Lets see if they delive when 4.3 is released - Im sure they gonna say "WAIT FOR 4.3.1 - ITS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE WHOLE COMMUNITY" - what utter crap.
U have four groups working on the same Jailbreak and nobody on an Unlock. Makes no sense. Can't use iPhone at all if not Unlocked. No sense in Jbreaking it!!! It's been 6 months and still no Unlock!!!
Well the one who seem the most likely to launch an untether is comex, and he said he were waiting for 4.3/verizon iphone whichever came last so yea no 4.2.1 untether why would there be one
