Apple will reportedly launch its second generation iPad on April 2nd or April 9th, according to a MacNotes.de report.
Reliable sources told us about the upcoming launch of the Apple iPad 2: the first or second Saturday in April will see the first sales of Apples new tablet. The iPad 2 will sell US-only for three months, and Apple Store-only for up to half a year. In July, more countries will follow. Walmart, Best Buy and Co. maybe have to wait until October until they are allowed to sell Apples new tablets.
The site is also predicting a higher resolution display, USB connectivity, and two cameras for the device.
I honestly don't know what these predictions are based on. I mean really, judging from Apple's design so far with it's products, especially the iPad, how can u possibly think that they would implement that awful speaker down south.. or my personal favorite! a Back Camera?? Apple is all about design/ergonomics and most of all, usefulness! They refused to create an iMac with a touchscreen simply because they don't think it's comfortable for the user to reach out to it, but sure, they would add a back camera to the iPad? Who walks around with a magazine sized device taking pictures with it?
A front camera - Yes, probably the 5MP cam from the iPhone 4, with the implementation of FaceTime of course, the addition of the iMovie app for iPad to be able to edit movies, probably created and sent from the iPhone, a Higher Res display and a faster processor.
The design, in my opinion.. won't change much.. It is possible they would add a second speaker for greater stereo sound but i wouldn't bank on it.
