Genuine White iPhone 4s Are Being Sold By Unofficial Chinese Resellers?

Genuine white iPhone 4s are being sold by unofficial Chinese resellers, according to a GizChina report.

The devices come in a retail box labelled with a warning that says the phone is meant for internal company use only and not for sale.

Prices start from around 5500 Yuan ($828) and rising to nearly 8000 Yuan ($1204) for the base model 16Gb version and even higher for the 32Gb models. These prices are well above above the official retail price of the regular black iPhone 4 in China and seem even steeper when you factor in they are running iOS 4.1 which is locked to AT&T and cannot be unlocked! If you want to get your hands on the white iPhone 4 before (if they are) release it head over to Taobao and search iPhone 4 白色.

The white iPhone 4 has been officially delayed until next year with expectations that it may never get released or may be a Verizon only special.

I like how the person said "4.1 is locked to ATT" and totally neglected the fact that Hong Kong spec iPhones are FACTORY UNLOCKED which makes these prices insane considering black is trading at about $1000 USD...MORON

well consider that the USA gets the latest iphone units first -- it's possible that the few that were made were perhaps only the AT&T locked models
