The iPhone 4 is the phone most likely to break due to accidental damage but least likely to fail in its first year of ownership, according to SquareTrade.
The warranty company has released a study that looked at 50,000 replacements and found that the iPhone 4 had the fewest malfunctions not due to accidental damage while Motorola and HTC Android phones tied for second place.
The year long study looked at 50,000 warranty replacements. The iPhone 4 had the fewest malfunctions not due to accidental damage while Motorola and HTC Android phones tied for second. Blackberry phones were near the bottom of the list failing 6.3% of the time in their first year of use.
• The iPhone 3GS is least likely to fail, with BlackBerry not far behind • Motorola, HTC, and the iPhone 4 failed slightly more often, but none are projected to exceed an overall failure rate of 16% • The aggregated group of other smart phones had the highest incidence of failure–17% in the first year-making them 44% more likely to fail than the iPhone 3GS • 9.4% of iPhone 4s were accidentally damaged in the first year compared to 6.7% for Blackberrys which were accidentally damaged the least.
...3G 5 times replaced here in Canada till finally I called US support and they got me a brand spanking new 3GS, so far It's going to be about a year and no problems besides the OS once in a while bt saying that the (not even 6 month old) iPhone 4 will last a year is plain dumb, to start the antenna doesn't work properly and the glass breaks so....btw the 3G back also cracks....
All i wanna say is i own a 3GS and i love it from the first day i bought till today and maybe after that.. ill just pass iphone 4 and wait for iphone 5 or something xD!! and i am 100% sure apple will patch its fails of i4, in the next gen..
Just sayin,.
