How to Enable FaceTime on Your Middle Eastern iPhone 4

These are instructions on how to enable FaceTime on iPhone 4s sold in the Middle East or other areas which have the feature disabled.

You must have a jailbroken iPhone to follow these instructions.

Step One
Press to launch Cydia from your Springboard.

How to Enable FaceTime on Your Middle Eastern iPhone 4

Step Two
Press to select the Sections tab at the bottom of the screen.

Step Three
Press to choose Tweaks from the list of Sections

Step Four
Tap to select MiddleWhat from the list of Tweaks

Step Five
Press the Install button at the top right of the screen.

Step Six
Press the Confirm button to begin installation.

Step Seven
Press the Restart Springboard button once installation has completed successfully.

Step Eight
Tap the Settings icon on your Springboard once it has restarted.

Step Nine
Choose Phone from the Settings menu to continue

Step Ten
Ensure that FaceTime is turned on!

@TheBaatmaan HOW CAN I RETURN BACK MY SETTINGS? MY CELLULAR DATA HAS GONE CANNOT CONNECT USING MY DATA PLAN.

Have You Jailbroken? -If yes, downalod commcenter patch for ios8, iFile and Tetherme, You'd probably get them from different repos, then goto iFile>System>Library>Carrier Bundles>iPhone>(Select The Folder Of Your Network, Eg: "STC_sa.bunble"). Then Tap On "carrier.plist" open in "property list view" not "Text Viewer". In the bottom right there should be a "+" icon, tap on it and in place of "Name" type in "AllowsVoIP" (Without Inverted Commas), And for type select "Boolean". Save, Then "AllowsVoIP" should be seen disabled, Enable the option then REBOOT, This should do the trick. If you don't see the FaceTime app on your homescreen, REBOOT again. I've followed these steps and it worked. However, it is always recommended to make a backup before doing anything as such -Source: iPhoneislam (@iPhoneIslam) -TheBaatmaan(@TheBaatmaan)

i tried your idea but now i cannot use my cellular data plan, its not connecting anymore and no factime has included on my phone also. can you undo what i did to restore my cellular data?

I bought my iphone 4s in dubai and went to kuwait where i bought a local sim. Facetime was activated, but only for that sim and not with UK sim or UAE sims. The application is there but latent.

i bought my iphone 4s from middle east (Bahrain) and using facetime. But when i come to states i was using same phone with Tmobile, but when i put Tmobile sim card the facetime vanished from my iphone Can you help?

it doesn't make sense , changing language and facetime gets visible in setting. it's a functionality based on some logic but not luck or by magic. Can you please stop spreading wrong information about it.

Hi i did enable it without any jailbreak in Dubai .. Just follow this .. 1. Change language to arabic 2. Enable facetime in settings .. Phone .. 3. Hard reset your iphone 4 by holding the power and the home buttoms .. 4 take out your Sim and turn on the iphone on .. Do the 2nd , 3rd steps again 5. Insert your Sim card now and power on the iphone .. Thats it .. I am making facetime call now from duabi .. Do all steps twice if failed ..

It doesn't work. After step 4 once you remove the sim, you can't access the settings/phone to activate face Time

forget the step 4 and just turn on the facetime from settings ---phone and then hard reset ... after iphone is on again , take out the sim and hard reset again .. once it is on .. insert your sim and go to settings --- phone and facetime should be activated now ... I did that for my two friends also who are using the two providers here .. but sometimes it needs to be done more than once .. otherwise jailbreak it .. but i am sure that we did it without jailbreaking ..

It doesn't work coz in the iphone purchased from vodafone there is no option of facetime. i mean the enabling and disabling button is not visible.

Hi, Please can you help i dont knw how to do this, i do have 4.2.1 and i installed facetime hactivator, i got the option of facetime which was not appearing ealier but now i can that option with the message SETTINGS_ACCOUNT_REGISTRATION_DEFAULT. and if i tries to turn on the facetime option it goes off automatically as soon as i release the finger. Please can you help me with this.

If you bought ur mobile in dubai even in arabic there is no facetime and settings.. then howcome you change the arabic language & facetime settings.. really disgusting!!

How come it is possible!! If we hard reset the phone, the phone use to turn off and turn on. But you asked to hard restart and then take the sim and reinsert the sim and turn on. Even though I tried what you said except restart I turned off but wasn't successfull. Please if any one succeeded getting FaceTime update it.
