The Chronic Dev-Team has released RC4 of their Greenpois0n jailbreak utility which brings support for the iPod touch 2G.

Greenpois0n RC4 posted on www.greenpois0n.com - support for iPod Touch 2G, MC and MB, both untethered.

Worked great on my iPod Touch 2G. Waiting for iPhone 3G jailbreak and unlock now :-) thanks a lot

I'm in the same boat as well. Hopefully, geohot or dev team gonna ralease the unlock for 3G with 5.14....

Great to see major improvements, but how about a decent way to update the iPhone 3G to 4.1 without updating the Baseband?! The iPhone 3G depends most on iOS 4.1, but got the awfulest support right now... I cant jailbreak it without updating the Baseband atm and that makes me freaking out, because of the need to get good speeds back. I really hope for a soon and long awaited release of pwnage tool for 4.1 to support 3G

It was impossible to me to jailbreak my 3gs with rc4. I tried sevral times. I had to use rc3 to success.
