Apple has reportedly placed orders for an 11.6-inch MacBook with Quanta, according to a DigiTimes report.
Shipments of 11.6-inch MacBooks are expected to top 400,000-500,000 units in 2010.
This follows a previous report in July that predicted a new slimmer and lighter MacBook which features an Intel Core i-series ultra-low voltage processor and will be released in the second half of 2010. Shipment volumes were also estimated at about 400,000 units.
It would seem likely that the MacBook model addressed here is the MacBook Air. That particular model has not seen an update since June 2009.
