Planetbeing has just revealed that the iPhone 4 has been successfully unlocked.
Looks like I now have an unlocked iPhone 4. :)

Congratulations to the iPhone Dev-Team for accomplishing this in such short time. Hopefully, the unlock will be publicly available shortly after comex releases his jailbreak for iOS 4.
This comes only one day after MuscleNerd announced that the Dev-Team had a final step to complete after they achieved full i4 bars with custom "steve" background task spitting out "One more thing".

finally apple will sell more iPhone 4. When will should Apple share revenu with the JB community? This is going to add 20 million more customer for the iPhone 4.

There are some little bugs on iPhone 4 unlock yet, so we are working with Planetbeing, @comex on the final release of Spirt4 and Ultrasn0w 2.0, no ETA yet, so stay tunned, it could be in a few days.
Thanks a million you guys! I am once again an owner of an iPhone (first had the 2g back in 2007) and have now bought myself the 3gs (came with the new os 4 and bootloader) so now I'm happy that I will be able to free my phone! You have a new donater to your blog guys, keep up the excellent work!
It says hopefully they will release after the Comex Jailbreak, not after Apple releases a update. And the Apple update won't be just for the Antenna, I'm sure it will include proximity sensor, bluetooth, and many other problems that have rolled out. I'm sure that is why it's taking Apple so long they want to release all fixes in one update.
Ah apple seriously, release the damm update already. They're probably just trying to stay consistant with the release dates (releasing it around same dates as 0.1 updates before) This isn't something they can really hold till....
