A detailed breakdown of the chip and memory configurations for Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 lineup has allegedly been leaked. The report, from leaker Fixed Focus Digital on Weibo, outlines specific A19 processor and RAM specifications for the standard, Air, Pro, and Pro Max models.
The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will reportedly feature an A19 Pro chip with a 6-core GPU and 12GB of RAM. In a notable shift, the iPhone 17 Air is also said to get an A19 Pro processor, but with a 5-core GPU, alongside 12GB of RAM. The standard iPhone 17 is expected to use a base A19 chip and will come with 8GB of RAM.
This new forecast revises some earlier expectations. A previous report from a different leaker had suggested that all four iPhone 17 models would get 12GB of RAM. The updated specs also align more closely with a report from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has predicted that at least three models in the lineup would receive the 12GB upgrade.
The claim that the base iPhone 17 will use an A19 chip also contradicts a early forecast from analyst Jeff Pu. Pu initially suggested the standard model would use an A18 processor, with the A19 reserved for the Air and the A19 Pro for the high-end models.
