Facebook Quietly Releases 'Tuned' App for Couples

Facebook has quietly released a new app for couples called 'Tuned'.

Last year, Facebook announced that it would launch experimental apps under the name 'NPE Team, from Facebook'. These apps will get shut down if they don't gain popularity.

NPE Team apps will be aligned with Facebook’s mission of giving people the power to build community but will focus on shipping entirely new experiences. We decided to use this separate brand name to help set the appropriate expectations with users that NPE Team apps will change very rapidly and will be shut down if we learn that they’re not useful to people.

Tuned is a "private space where you and your significant other can just be yourselves".

With Tuned, you can be as mushy, quirky, and silly as you are together in person, even when you’re apart. Creatively express your love, share your mood, exchange music, and build a digital scrapbook of your special moments.

FEATURES:
- Private, scrapbook-style feed between just the two of you
- Connect your Spotify account to share songs and playlists
- Set your mood and see how your partner is feeling
- Send photo snapshots, notes, cards, voice memos and more to show you care
- Express yourself with custom stickers and reactions

You can download Tuned from the App Store for free.

If the receiving person has “do not disturb” turned on, they wouldn’t be disturbed anyway! I dunno. I think this could be just another way for Facebook to pry into peoples private lives.

Why would a couple, or anyone, need this, when you can already text, or just talk to the other person?

If a couple is in different time zones like USA and Australia for example, one can record a video or send a message via this app without waking the other person up. The other person can view at their convenience. I dont think any other app like iMessage, WhatsApp, etc have scheduled delivery option
