Apple has officially announced a special event on September 12th at the Steve Jobs theater.

The company sent invitations to members of the press today that read:

Please join us for an Apple special event
at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino.

Apple is widely expected to unveil three new smartphones at the event including a new 5.8-inch OLED iPhone, a 6.1-inch LCD iPhone, and a 6.5-inch OLED iPhone. The company is also likely to debut a new Apple Watch.
