Firmware update 7.8 adds AirPlay 2 support to 802.11n AirPort Express base stations.

AirPlay 2 arrived with the release of iOS 11.4. It allows you to play music on multiple AirPlay 2-enabled speakers in your house at the same time, all in sync.
Despite being discontinued by Apple, many homes still make use of the popular AirPort Express router. With the added support for AirPlay 2 the AirPort Express becomes a great way to send audio to third party speaker systems.
