iPad Pro CAD Drawing Allegedly Reveals New Location for Smart Connector

A CAD drawing for the new 2018 iPad Pro allegedly reveals a new location for the Smart Connector that is just behind the Lightning port.

The CAD was posted to Twitter by @OnLeaks:

Just got my hands on a purported 2018 iPad Pro CAD showing a unknown thing located on the back of the tablet... NB: I can't confirm the accuracy of that CAD I share for discussion purposes only because of that weird and yet unexplained detail...


The shared image corroborates an earlier report from Macotakara which said the Smart Connector would be moved to the lower rear side, close to the Lightning connector. The site also suggested a new keyboard might be needed to accommodate the new orientation.
