A worthless and empty gesture. Pure marketing and not a damn thing more. Notice their statement says that eligible products are; repairable iPhones, Macs... As a typical customer, bring your liquid damaged iPhone to Apple and see what apple says about its “repairability”. Apple doesn’t repair much and they definitely don’t repair virtually any damage caused by liquid damage. In fact, apple service techs aren’t even qualified or licensed to complete such repairs. It’s a ploy to improve public image while simultaneously attracting vulnerable customers who they can talk into buying new devices to replace their damaged ones.
