Apple's Patch Significantly Improves Core i9 MacBook Pro Performance [Video]

Apple released a fix today to address throttling issues with its new Core i9 MacBook Pro. Dave Lee, the YouTuber who first spotted the issue, has posted a follow up video to discuss the patch.

The short of it is that they fixed the issues that I was seeing in my workflow. So, my videos now render at significantly better speeds, even better than using a freezer before the patch. Instead of being slower than the 2017 MacBook Pro the new i9 is now 30, maybe 35, percent faster than the older 2017 model.

While Lee notes that while the i9 MacBook Pro is still not able to hit the clock speeds of some of its bulkier rivals, Apple offers a sleeker and thinner device that users may prefer.
