New MacBook Pro Extends 'True Tone' Technology to Select External Displays

Apple has revealed that its new MacBook Pro brings 'True Tone' technology to select external displays.

True Tone technology uses advanced multichannel sensors to adjust the color and intensity of your display to match the ambient light so that images appear more natural.

In a support document published today, Apple reveals that True Tone will work on certain external monitors...

True Tone can also adjust these external displays when they're connected to your MacBook Pro:
● Apple Thunderbolt Display, using the Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 adapter
● LG UltraFine 5K Display
● LG UltraFine 4K Display
