Microsoft is working on a 'pocketable' Surface device, according to a leaked internal email obtained by The Verge.
The mysterious device has been under development for at least two years. Codenamed Andromeda, the device features a dual-display design intended to create a 'new and disruptive' device category blurring the lines between PC and mobile.
"It’s a new pocketable Surface device form factor that brings together innovative new hardware and software experiences to create a truly personal and versatile computing experience," says Microsoft.
While the device is still being designed in secret, it apparently has a wraparound display that bridges the gap of the hinge when opened. Engineering samples are said to look identical to renders created by David Breyer.
