Apple is considering the creation of a new subscription service bundle that would offer customers access to original TV shows, Apple Music, and magazines, reports The Information.
As a first step, Apple will reportedly launch a news subscription service next year. That service would combine the Apple News app with the Texture magazine subscription service that Apple acquired in March. Currently, Texture gives subscribers access to over 200 publications for $9.99/month.
Next, Apple will purportedly bundle the news subscription with original video content and Apple Music. Users will still be able to sign up to each service separately if they so choose.
It's still unclear whether Apple will initially roll out some video content for free before bundling it with the other services. Discussions are still ongoing at Apple and things could change.
