Microsoft Updates Bing App for iOS With Visual Search [Video]

Posted June 22, 2018 at 3:11pm by iClarified
Microsoft has announced a new Visual Search feature in the Bing app that lets you search the web using your camera.

Imagine you see a landmark or flower and want to learn more. Simply take a photo using one of the apps, or upload a picture from your camera roll. Bing will identify the object in question and give you more information by providing additional links to explore.

Microsoft notes that Visual Search could also be used to search for fashion or home furnishings. For example, if you see a jacket you like, you could upload a pic into Bing's search box and the app will return visually similar jackets, prices, and details on where to purchase.

Check out the video below for more details. You can download Bing Search from the App Store for free. Visual Search will also be coming soon to Microsoft Edge for iOS and Bing.com.
