Trademark Filings Hint at Possible Names for macOS 10.14

A set of trademark applications filed by a presumed Apple shell company may reveal possible names for the company's next generation desktop operating system, reports MacRumors.
The trademark applications were filed in Cambodia and the Philippines on a series of California landmark names that surfaced back in 2014. In the Philippines, Apple filed applications for Mojave, Sequoia, Sonoma, and Ventura. In Cambodia, Apple has filed an application for Mojave, suggesting it may be the frontrunner.
Apple has also kept several names from its original 2014 filing active, including Rincon, Grizzly, Farallon, and Monterey; however, Mojave, Sequoia, Sonoma, and Ventura are the only marks where Apple has filed new applications. Other names have been abandoned including Diablo, Redwood, Big Sur, Pacific, Miramar, Redtail, Condor, Tiburon, and Shasta. Two other names, Mammoth and California, are suspended.
Apple is widely expected to unveil macOS 10.14 at WWDC 2018 which takes place June 4-8 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, USA.
