Apple's next generation Apple Watch will reportedly feature a new design, larger display, and bigger battery, according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
In an investor note sent out this morning, Kuo predicted that Apple would launch the revamped Apple Watch this fall. The new model is expected to feature a display that is 15% larger than the current generation's. It's unclear if this will be achieved using smaller bezels or whether the dimensions of the device will be changed.
Kuo also mentions an increase in battery capacity and enhanced health monitoring, reports 9to5Mac.
The analyst believes a combination of a ‘more trendy from factor design’, the addition of new sensors beyond heart rate monitoring, and lowering of prices of older models will drive Apple Watch sales to new records.
KGI is predicting Apple Watch sales of 22-24 million units in 2018 but believes that number could rise to 50 million units a year in the long term.
"It's unclear if this will be achieved using smaller bezels or whether the dimensions of the device will be changed." Since the current bezels are MUCH smaller than 15% of the watch, clearly the device's dimensions will change.
It only does so if people don't do what the watch tells them to do regardless of when to do the tasks as if they're going to regret their decision to not listen to the watch when they should have. I learned by lesson and it could have gone worse in the long run. "The more you know." LAWLOL.
