MacBook sales are expected to grow faster than iPad and iPhone sales in 2018, according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo via StreetInsider.
KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is positive on the outlook for Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) MacBook, which is expected to see the best YoY shipments growth among Apple’s (US) main product lines (13-16%) in 2018. iPhone shipments are expected to grow just 4-6% and iPad shipments 7-10%.
Shipments of components are set to grow 60-80% quarter over quarter in 2Q18 as Apple starts to ship new models. Most shipments are expected later in the year with 2H shipments accounting for 65-70%.
Kuo also notes that the OLED Touch Bar MacBook Pro is accounting for a greater portion of MacBooks sold.
Earlier today, Apple announced an education focused event taking place March 27th. It's believed that the company could unveil a cheaper MacBook Air during the keynote.
